I have a 5 months old weanling and he is really sweet but he seems bored and lonely so I was wondering if their were any games or tricks I could do with him. It would be nice if the games/tricks helped with lessons he will learn later on. I also have a 10 year old mare so anything I could teach either of them would be good. Thanks the colt is halter broke, lets me pick up his feet, and touch him everywhere ( even when he's laying down). What are some games I can play with my horse? Or tricks I can teach my horse?
something i would do is play follow the leader. you don't have to have your horse saddled or anything. just a halter. bring treats too. have him follow you around the arena. this bonds rider and horse. its fun.
Play tag i know it may sound silly but my horse is very easy to catch however he loves to play tag its funny will will tag him and he actually will chase me and touch me with his head and then i am it lol he always wins he is fast than i am. He is 4 years old and is dead broke very smart horse also since your horse is young teach him to bow thats cuteWhat are some games I can play with my horse? Or tricks I can teach my horse?
Well i Love playing with my 4yr. old Colt/gelding. I've tough him many Tricks, and games... One is were I chase him!! You have to act like the Lead horse and sorta Play around with him,.. But Once your done make sure you can get him to come with you again, Next you can train him to stay on a Plate form... which is also fun,...,.. if you want more ideas let me know,. jut e-mail me :)What are some games I can play with my horse? Hi there,
I wrote up a page on horse games awhile back, but havent quite finished it up yet. you can check it out over here:

There's a link in that article to info on the "Parelli" games. These are a fantastic way of "Playing" with your horse as well as training it.
Just be careful not to create any bad habits when playing with your horse.
Hope that helps you out.
u could lounge line or free lounge him and let him jump over very small jumps.or u can teach him to do some stretches so wen he is older he will be very flexible witch would be good. just have fun with him and u could try to get him to follow u any were even go up ramps all kinds of stuff like tht
have funn :)
