Different horse games to play?

well i just started leasing a horse and i was wondering what are some fun games we could do together to help bond. here's some info about him he's a cheastnut,9yr old, off the track, high strung, thoroughbred gelding, he loves to jump and thats what i do with him. and i'm a 14yr old jumper. thanks!Different horse games to play?
When I was in lessons one day we did a bobbing for apples tournament and it was really fun. If you find some friends to do it with it might be really fun. So you put a bucket at one end of your arena, and you stand at the other. When someone says go you cantar down to the other end of the arena and stop at the bucket. Now you can either have the horse bob for the apple or you. When you have the apple in your mouth then you must get back on your horse and cantar back. Since you said you like jumping, you could put a few jumps in the way that you have to jump over for some more fun. Hope this helps!! Good Luck :)
I love anything that includes one of those enormous soccer balls! Turn him out in a larger space, and you can maybe chase him a little and move the ball around for him to investigate. I used to do it all the time with my pony, but I'm sure a OTTB is a different story...haha.

I'll lurk around to find some ideas as well.Different horse games to play?
Well if you can keep him under control well you might try a trail ride. Its relaxing for you and your horse.Or you could just spend some time grooming him very well.Basically just spend time with him other than when you work and that will create a bond =]Different horse games to play?
Just ride around the arena, building trust, you may want to drop your stirrups and walk around or ride bareback, just making little circles and just chill.
the parelli 7 games are great I hear, but i'd recremend asking your instructor if you have one.
just treet him like a family member
