I don't know any wear you have a person and you can ride the horse, but a good place for owning horses is www.equine-ranch.com. Unfortunately, you can only own grade horses and lease other horses, and you can't breed. You have to pay money to buy a higher grade account and own and breed specific breeds. The only other downside is that you're horses age a month every day, so if you neglect to visit the site their health will detiriorate and they'll die.
The only other horse game I've come across is www.virtualhorseranch.com. It isn't time bound, so if you forget to visit your horses remain the way they are. The biggest downside to it is that the genetics are fantastical and unrealistic. When you breed you have a 50% chance of getting one or the other color, no matter what they are.
