What are some trust games I can do with my horse?

Looking to build trust between me and my (leased) horse.

What are some fun things to do with her and IWhat are some trust games I can do with my horse?
Play Horse, which is where you are both on the ground and you run around with the horse.

Groom it often.

Give treats.

I chose a song that best fit my horse and me, than I learned all the lyrics and every time I went out to see my horse I would sing to him that song. Now every time I sing to him, he loves it and is calm.I chose a very calm and slow song.

Hope this helps.

Trust comes from letting your horse know that you're in charge. What I mean is.....a little kid feels safe when he knows that his parents are taking care of "everything"....Same thing.

So...just by doing ANYTHING with your horse...if you take the lead....that is, act confident and use pressure lightly (adding more if needed) and rewarding her with a release of pressure when she responds correctly....anything that you do with her will give her trust and respect in you (confidence).

If you pull on her, otherwise confuse her with yanking or jerking on the reins or otherwise act fearful of her or things that she does...this destroys trust.

Simple things like sending her around you ask lunging for a half circle. Stop her and ask her to change directions....add some obstacles like a tarp or a bunch of poles, or.... and send her near them, around them, across, over them....at all speeds....stuff like this can help to build trust.
